Four steps for more clarity in the area of data protection

  • 1

  • 2

    Needs assessment

In the follow-up meeting, we determine the scope of your data protection requirements. General questions about Robin Data's solutions can be clarified. You will speak directly with a consultant who, based on their experience, can accurately assess the extent to which we can support you in implementing data protection requirements. We will tailor the solutions in our consulting portfolio to your budget in order to provide you with a customised offer.

  • 3

Preparation of offers and conclusion of contracts

In the next step after the needs assessment, we will prepare a non-binding offer based on your requirements. You will receive a draft contract from us that defines the provision of the agreed services. On the basis of this basis for negotiation, we discuss details.

  • 4

    consultation

After successful contract coordination, our data protection consultant plans the next steps with you. In doing so, we are guided by your specific wishes; both regional on-site consulting and digital consulting are possible in many cases.

FAQ

The General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO for short) came into force back in 2016. Since 2018, the implementation of data protection law has been binding for companies. Irrespective of this, data protection is becoming increasingly important. Awareness of the topic of data protection is increasing enormously, but not only that but also the risks of liability and fines. A violation of the GDPR can be punished with fines of up to 4% of the annual company turnover or up to €20 million, warnings and even criminal investigations. In addition, there is a public loss of image, which could damage the company in the long term.

Data protection is a quality signal that ensures trust among customers and partners. Furthermore, the GDPR is based on the BDSG, but is still a relatively young law whose requirements are constantly being adapted. Companies are thus faced with the great challenge of keeping track of, updating and implementing all regulations. Not least in coordination with sector-specific or also competition and IT law. Data protection consulting by experts can simplify these complex tasks and support you in your everyday work.

Data protection advice is useful for companies of all sizes and in all sectors in order to minimise the risk of fines and liability. In particular, the advice is useful for organisations that process personal data and special categories of personal data. We adapt the content and scope of data protection consulting to your industry and size.

Even if you have already appointed an internal data protection officer or even an external data protection officer, data protection advice may be useful. Contact us if you have any questions, we will advise you in the initial interview free of charge about your possibilities.

The training of employees are organisational measures (according to Article 32 GDPR), by means of which employees learn to handle personal data carefully and responsibly. This ensures a sufficient level of security on the part of the employees. There are no legal requirements as to how often staff training must be carried out. The same applies to the form and content of the training. Therefore, it is advisable to adapt the frequency and content specifically to your company's divisions.

The most common types of training are, on the one hand, the classic in-house training and, on the other hand, the web-based/online training by means of e-learning tools; a combination of the two types is also conceivable.

Classical training is characterised by the fact that the data protection officer or external data protection specialists train your employees on site.

In contrast, e-learning tools offer employees the opportunity to access data protection knowledge whenever and as often as they want. Not only is knowledge imparted, but it is also tested at the same time.

Definitely yes! Even though fines against larger companies and in the millions appear more in the media, we have also been tracking fines against small and medium-sized companies since the GDPR came into force. Therefore, we can only point out again and again: Companies of all sizes are obliged and liable to implement the GDPR.

Regional experts throughout Germany enable Robin Data to carry out on-site data protection consulting at your company; such consulting is particularly recommended for extensive consulting services. However, we also offer consultations via telephone or video conferencing based on your requirements.

The first step after contacting us is the needs assessment, in which we determine the current state of your company together with you, check how your company is set up in terms of data protection and see where we can best support you.

Based on the needs assessment, we create an individual offer for you, which is specifically adapted to your needs and budget.

If you decide to work with us, we will be happy to provide you with a draft contract.

Once you have placed the order with us, our data protection experts will take action on your behalf and plan the next steps with you.

Data protection consultations by our regional experts throughout Germany can also be carried out at your premises and are recommended for extensive consulting services. However, we also offer consultations by telephone or video conference based on your requirements.
